The City of Tulsa joined our global network in 2014, part of the second wave of cities to join our program. In December 2016, the city’s Mayor G.T. Bynum appointed DeVon Douglass to become the city’s new Chief Resilience Officer.
In the summer of 2016, DeVon organized and led Tulsa Talks community discussions addressing race relations and fears of police violence. A graduate of the law school at the University of Tulsa, DeVon previously focused on economic opportunity and poverty policy for the Oklahoma Policy Institute.
