Hector Cordero

Senior Program Manager, City Resilience Delivery

Hector is the Senior Program Manager for the LAC team and is based in the CDMX office. He provides support to the implementation of the resilience strategies in a broad portfolio of cities.  Prior to joining 100RC Hector worked with several of our platform partners including World Resources Institute, WWF  and The Nature Conservancy in Latin America.  He brings a wealth of experience in stakeholder engagement for the implementation of urban transport projects, corporate climate change strategies and water management governance.

As Strategic Alliances Manager at the Avina Foundation he participated actively in the accreditation process to the Green Climate Fund. He also brings hands-on experience in strategic partnerships, bridging organizations with philanthropic bodies, multilateral organizations and corporates identifying diverse financing mechanisms, also managing relations with federal, state and municipal authorities.

At his most recent job at The Nature Conservancy, he coordinated fundraising efforts and stakeholder engagement strategies for all conservation programs, aimed at building capacity in public officials and corporate leaders.  He also provided strong support to the launching of the CDMX Water Fund. Hector holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the Universidad de las Americas-Puebla, and a Master’s in Regional and Urban Planning from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Hector speaks English, German and Spanish.
