Estefanía joined the 100 Resilient Cities team in 2017 after working with UN-Habitat’s global headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya, and their Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in addition to a number of NGOs in Mexico. Estefanía assisted UN Habitat in the preparation of the City Prosperity Index as a tool to assist decision makers to design clear policy interventions for their cities to become more prosperous. She was also responsible for the coordination of the regional project “Initiative of Prosperous Cities for the Future”, which operated simultaneously in (Panamá, Quito, Guayaquil, Lima y Fortaleza ).

Estefanía planned and organized the logistics and information material of UN Habitat’s regional agenda for over 50 regional and global summits, conferences and forums, including the 7th World Urban Forum, Smart Cities, UCLG World Summit for Local and Regional Leaders, MINURVI General Assembly and HABITAT 3.
