2016 was a big year for us at 100 Resilient Cities.
So far, 20 cities have released their resilience strategies. 56 cities now have Chief Resilience Officers. 97 companies and organizations are part of a global network of Platform Partners helping cities build resilience. And, of course, we now have 100 member cities.
More and more cities are now implementing resilience strategies and putting into action plans that will help prepare them for the next century.
National governments – from Colombia to Mexico to Nigeria – are incentivizing resilient cities through new networks, planning initiatives, and funding. We’re seeing partners innovate in new ways and help cities solve some of their most intractable challenges. Our member cities, and the world’s Chief Resilience Officers, are at the forefront of this movement.
Over the next couple of weeks, we’ll share their resolutions with you and we want to hear yours too.
